Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Deadly Road Accident

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.

“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”

The news of his discharge comes as the global fight fans had expressed condolences for the fighter in the following the heartbreaking incident.
