Barcelona Set to Play Historic Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside based on approved permits. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
