Emerging athlete preparing for major competition

This young athlete boasts considerable online following

The young golfer will have multiple prominent backers as she makes her LPGA debut on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous golf courses and often competes against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she stated.

She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"He basically suggested to go out there and relax," she added.

"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him rather occupied."

Being non-professional, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has position 461 in AJGA standings.

However she can seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He stands as the best player globally," the young golfer said.

"Additionally, he's a superior person. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against multiple most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers stated that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to different demographics, particularly among the next generation.

The social media influencer has a massive following and recently launched a personal apparel and wellness brand.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
