The relatives of teenagers lost after a devastating inferno at a bar in a Switzerland's alpine town are confronting an excruciating wait for confirmed information and pleading for information about their loved ones via social media.

The fire engulfed the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of January 1st. Circulated images show the roof structure catching alight as beverages with sparklers are held aloft.

Authorities have stated that it could take considerable time to identify the fatalities of the disaster, which claimed the lives of four dozen individuals and hurt another 119. A spokesperson said on Friday that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with the process continuing to identify the final individuals.

Desperate Searches for the Unaccounted For

The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are currently unknown, according to an public plea from his mother.
