Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a luggage theft where a suspected capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

These accusations come after an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident during the incident. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
